These Terms of Use ("Terms") are the rules for using www.indigounlimited.org and its Family Legal Aid partner portal. Indigo Unlimited is a Washington nonprofit corporation and 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 99-3699154). "We" and "us" means Indigo Unlimited. By using the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. About the site
The site gives general information about our initiatives: North Cascades Animal Refuge, Methow Youth Enterprise Academy, Family Legal Cost Assistance, and NoWhereElse. Plans, goals, and timelines may change. We are not an emergency service. If you are in danger, call 911.
2. Not legal advice
Indigo Unlimited is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or representation. Family Legal Cost Assistance helps eligible parents with some legal costs. Parents choose their own attorney or provider. Referrals are never tied to donations.
3. Forms
Sending a form tells us you're interested. It doesn't create a contract, a promise of assistance, or an obligation to pay anything. Please don't send false information or someone else's details without permission.
4. Family Legal Aid partner portal
4.1 Eligibility and accounts. Portal accounts are by invitation only, after we approve a partner. You must give accurate information, keep your license in good standing, and tell us promptly if your license status changes. Keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think your account was misused. We may pause or close an account at any time.
4.2 Independent professionals. Partners are independent professionals, not employees, agents or contractors of Indigo Unlimited. You alone are responsible for your legal work, your engagement agreements with clients, conflict checks, client confidentiality, and compliance with the Washington Rules of Professional Conduct, the LLLT Rules of Professional Conduct (if applicable), and other rules that apply to you. We don't direct or control your professional judgment.
4.3 Referrals. A referral means a parent has been screened by us for fund eligibility and has chosen to contact you or be introduced to you. You may decline any referral. Accepting a referral doesn't make Indigo Unlimited a party to your engagement with the client. No referral fees are paid in either direction.
4.4 Client information. Enter only the minimum information the portal asks for. Do not enter case facts, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or other confidential or privileged client information in the portal or in messages to us. Get your client's informed consent before sharing anything with us that your professional rules require consent for.
4.5 Invoices and fund payments. You may submit invoices for fund-covered services for referred clients. Fund assistance is limited by available donations and is discretionary. We pay only invoices, or portions of invoices, that we approve in writing, up to any amount approved for that referral. Submitting an invoice doesn't guarantee payment. Any agreed partner rate, payment timing, and payment method will be confirmed with you in writing. The client remains responsible for any amount the fund doesn't cover, according to your agreement with the client. Partners must not charge clients for amounts the fund has paid.
4.6 Messages. Messages and change requests you send through the portal are logged and reviewed by Indigo Unlimited staff and our automated assistant tools. They aren't monitored around the clock, so don't use them for anything urgent.
4.7 Recognition. We list partners publicly only if you opt in. Donated time and services aren't tax-deductible (IRS Publication 526); please ask your own tax advisor.
5. Using the site fairly
Please don't send spam, try to access accounts or data that aren't yours, probe or interfere with the site's security, or use automated tools to scrape it.
6. Our content
The text, photos, logos, and the Indigo Unlimited name belong to Indigo Unlimited or are used with permission. Please don't change them or suggest that we endorse you without asking first.
7. Links to other sites
We link to Cheddar Up and other sites. We aren't responsible for their content or practices.
8. No warranties; limit of liability
The site and portal are provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, Indigo Unlimited isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using them, and our total liability related to the site or portal is limited to $100.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute will be heard in the state courts located in Okanogan County, Washington.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we do, we'll post the new date and version here. Partners will be asked to agree to material changes.
